Determined to keep his late-wife's dream alive, Dick Wall becomes the unlikely spokesperson for her debut memoir and embarks on an unexpected cross-country promotional tour.

Inspired by Carilion’s desire to transform cancer care in the region, the Carilion Clinic Foundation will host The Grandin Theatre premiere of “The Book Keepers,” which tells one man’s inspiring story of fulfilling his wife’s dream after she lost her battle to cancer. This event is free to attend.

About "The Book Keepers"
Carol Wall's debut memoir, Mister Owita’s Guide To Gardening, about cancer, friendship, and cultivating an open heart, was a breakout success. But joy turned to tragedy when the breast cancer she wrote about returned, and she died months after its publication. The movie follows her husband, Roanoker Dick Wall, who is determined to keep his late wife’s dream alive by becoming her unlikely spokesperson on tour for her critically acclaimed book.
